Online Therapy:
All our services are available online and available from the comfort of your own home. A number of clients are expressing this as an advantage to them. Certainly it eliminates travel time and not having to drive and park your car etc can be a great advantage. There is no right and wrong way to approach this. For some online therapy is very much seen as a great advantage while for others there is the feeling that the benefit is having therapy take place in a room and safe space that is separate from their home and face to face contact forms part of the therapeutic process for them. The choice is completely what the client decides works best for them.

To engage in online therapy then its best to have a good internet connection and a space in your home that can be private and not overheard. Sometimes the only place may be your bedroom but this is not the best scenario. A sitting room, or any quiet uninterrupted space is what you should aim for. You can have a zoom call on your phone but the limited size of the phone can be a downside and notifications may cause you interruption. Ideally a Tablet or PC is the best option. You can have added privacy by using ear buds, headphones with a mike or the like. Obviously if you are alone in the house this is not an issue. Our therapists have undergone specific training for to carry out online therapy both practically, ethically as well as taking into consideration issues such as privacy, confidentially and GDPR.
